My good friend Erica was supposed to be in town on Wednesday—and was finally got to see me perform, which she’s wanted to for ages. But the airlines had other ideas, leaving her stranded one day, in turn forced her to rejigger the rest of her business trip.

Sorry ‘bout that. It was indeed a bummer, but not as much of a bummer as waiting around for Alaska (coming soon to a bankruptcy court near you) Airlines to finally learn that you need an airplane AND passengers AND fuel AND pilots AND flight attendants to all be in reasonably close proximity to make a flight work…
